Welcome to my website.

I’m a Swedish ceramic artist living in Texas, USA. Working with clay is not easy, but fun and interesting. You have an idea, but it won’t always end as you had in mind. You need a lot of knowledge about techniques and all of the different clays possibilities. It’s a long journey to find out about how to reach your goals and maybe you never do that. On this website you can take a look on some of my works. I screen-print on clay and I love bright colors. I often wheel throw the clay and then alter into something that I have in mind. I use a colorful glace and do both sculptural things and tableware as bowls, cups and things that are decorative.

I’m also an illustrator. I do everything from children`s books to commercial things. I just love drawing and painting. I sometimes utilize the terrific tools in Photoshop to change the image to something I like or want.

As an artist you get your inspirations from many things. It can be something you read, graffiti, your children’s drawings… and sometimes you can’t put words to it. Please welcome to visit my website!!

Christina Roos

Born in Gothenburg, Sweden
Master of Fin Arts in Ceramics, SHKS, Oslo, Norway
Photography and Illustration, Alberta Collage of Arts, Calgary, Canada

Along with exhibiting her works in galleries and museums Christina has also worked as a designer and illustrator. Many of her clay works and paintings are in private and public collections. Christina has worked as a teacher at various Nordic universities.

Christina is currently living in Houston, Texas, USA and has a studio place at the Houston Foundry in the downtown area.
